Printable April The Earth in Bloom Craftivity and Read Aloud Mini Lesson – Help students reflect on why our planet is important with the Earth in Bloom Craftivity and Read Aloud Mini Lesson. This activity pairs a meaningful hands-on craft with a guided mini lesson designed to accompany a read aloud about caring for the Earth. The included teacher guide provides before, during, and after reading prompts to support thoughtful discussion.
Students create a “Blooming Earth” craft by cutting out flower petals and writing ideas on each one about why the Earth is important or how we can take care of it. The petals are glued around a cut-out Earth to create a blooming flower, and the finished craft is attached to the top of a writing page.
While this activity is designed to pair beautifully with a read aloud mini lesson, it can also be used as a standalone craft and writing activity for Earth Day or spring science learning.
